Pride In Motion Marching Band

Pride In Motion Marching Band (Fall Semester)

The MHS Band has developed a tradition of excellence in achievement of fine marching band performances. It will be the most active of the instrumental music groups, giving approximately 16 performances a year including football games, contests, and parades.

Eligibility: All students enrolled in the band program are eligible for the marching band. Marching band meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM and every Saturday (usually all day) on contest days. It is imperative that students be at every rehearsal and performance. Unexcused absences and tardies could cause you to be dropped from the marching band.

Activities: Band camp, halftime and pre-game performances at all home and selected away football games, approximately 4-6 marching band competitions and parades. The after school rehearsal schedule begins after band camp and ends after our last marching performance.

All marching members are expected to schedule work, doctor appointments, private lessons, etc. around these times.

Scheduled practices are mandatory for all members. We must have 100% participation in order to continue the superior level we have achieved.

Marching Band is hard work.  It is also fun, rewarding, builds teamwork, and leadership skills.
